Can Anyone Stop Paul Pierce or Vince Carter?

Paul Pierce
|
Paul Pierce, a 98-99 rookie from the University of Kansas, is a true franchise player of the Boston Celtics. In 98-99 he averaged 6.4 APG 1.7 STL and 16.5 PPG. Many think he deserved to win the Rookie of the Year award, including Kerry Kittles and Charles Oakley. Reggie Theus, a fellow Inglewood High alum quotes: "This kid can do it all. This kid's got hands defensively, and that will carry him as far as his offense will." Paul Pierce's full court game is much admired by Pick Pitino, and he will go on playing in the NBA for a long, long time.

Vince Carter

Vince Carter, a 98-99 rookie out of the University of North Carolina, won the Rookie of the Year award in 98-99. Also in his debut year he averaged 3 apg 1.54 blk and 18.3 ppg. He is an explosive, high-rising dunker that reminds many of Michael Jordan himself. Vince is also a great franchise player in the great white north and has made friends with many of his teammates.
